[hosted in sarezale.com]What happens at the meetings?
- The GAY LONDON WRITERS’ GROUP meets monthly on a FRIDAY EVENING in a flat in a Central London location.
- In a friendly, convivial atmosphere, members present WORK IN PROGRESS to the group who offer constructive comments and advice.
- MEMBERS are of all ages and writing experience: what they have in common is their sexuality and A PASSION FOR WRITING.
- WRITING includes articles, poems, extracts from novels and plays, monologues, film and television scripts.
- SUBJECT MATTER does not have to be specifically gay: members write about a myriad of topics but usually from a gay perspective and sensitivity.
- MEMBERS do not have to present work at every meeting: it’s OK to just come along, listen and give comments.
- Details of COMPETITIONS and suggestions about PUBLICATION are also available at meetings.
- OVERSEAS VISITORS (whether long or short stay) are most welcome at meetings.
- The group holds an ANNUAL PICNIC in Regent’s Park in the summer and other social events.
- Bottles of WINE are encouraged at each meeting to fuel the group’s creative juices!
